This Privacy Policy explains how Mohaisen Tech ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Prepio mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By using Prepio you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

Prepio is an independent exam-preparation study aid for IGCSE, GCSE and IB students. Mohaisen Tech is the data controller for the personal information described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

• Account & identity. When you start, Prepio creates an anonymous guest account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a user identifier and, where you allow it, your email address and display name. We do not receive your Apple/Google password.
• Profile & learning data. Your username, country, chosen programme/board/subjects and level, and your study activity — practice answers, progress, streaks, saved items, and quiz/mock results.
• Purchases. When you buy a subscription or one-time product, Apple or Google processes the payment and sends us a receipt/token and the resulting entitlement (e.g. "premium active"). We never receive your card or full payment details.
• Device & usage data. App version, device type and operating system, language, and in-app events used for analytics and to improve the app. We record when the app is opened (platform and last-seen time).
• Diagnostics. Crash reports and error logs to fix problems.
• Advertising data. For non-paying users we show ads via Google AdMob, which may process device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. On iOS, ads use only limited data unless you grant tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency).

3. How we use your information

• Provide and personalise the Service (deliver content, save progress, sync across devices).
• Process and validate purchases and manage your premium entitlement.
• Show and measure advertising to non-paying users.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose and fix problems.
• Understand usage to improve features and content.
• Communicate service or, where you opt in, study-reminder notifications.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process your data to perform our contract with you (running the app and purchases), for our legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service, measuring ads), to meet legal obligations, and with your consent where required (e.g. tracking-based advertising, push notifications).

5. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with providers that operate the Service:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) — sign-in, analytics, crash reporting, notifications.
• Google AdMob — advertising to non-paying users.
• Apple / Google Play — payment processing and subscription management.
• Our hosting (Mohaisen Tech servers) — storing your account, content and progress.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Advertising & tracking choices

• iOS: we request App Tracking Transparency permission before any tracking-based advertising; you can decline and change it in Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
• Android: you can reset or limit your advertising ID in system settings.
• Buying Prepio Premium or Remove Ads stops ads entirely.

7. Children's privacy

Prepio is intended for secondary-school exam preparation and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please use Prepio only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Profile → Delete account, or by emailing us. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or accounting purposes (e.g. purchase records).

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email amjadmohisen@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
